How it fishes
The Grand River between Paris and Brantford is a designated "Exceptional Waters" reach — the fishing season was extended and special barbless-hook, artificial-lure, catch-and-release regulations were put in place to manage the fishery.
SourceCold water entering from Whitemans Creek and springs makes the reach good habitat for smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike and rainbow trout, and supports species at risk including black redhorse and river redhorse.
